April 2006
The concept for BlueSquare, a carrier-neutral data centre outside on London, was the vision of current Technical Director, Matthew Munson, who had been working with the industry for many years. In April 2006 Matthew teamed up with the Directors of BlueSquare to make this vision a reality. A clear gap in the market was evident for such a facility.
BlueSquare Data Services Ltd procures the BlueSquare House site in Maidenhead.

August 2006
The first BlueSquare data centre, BlueSquare House, opens for service.

November 2006
BlueSquare House sold to 50% capacity, Plans for BlueSquare 2 are brought forward and data centre build scheduled for 1st January 2007.

December 2006
BlueSquare 2 pre-sold to 50% capacity before build even begins.

January 2007
BlueSquare 2 build-out commences, with BlueSquare House nearing 80% capacity.

May 2007
BlueSquare House fully sold out. BlueSquare 2 opens and reaches 50% capacity within first two weeks.

August 2007
First anniversary of BlueSquare House. The build of BlueSquare 3 commences with an estimated online date of April 2007. BlueSquare 2 now sold to 90% capacity.

March 2008
BlueSquare sign up the new BlueSquare 4 site, branded as BlueSquare:MK

April 2008
BlueSquare 3 open's, with 75% of the first floor pre-ordered. Work on the second data floor continues with an expected on-line of May 2008.
