Matthew started his career in the Internet and data industry whilst still completing sixth form studies in the early ‘90s, by means of a national crime prevention website. In addition to this Matthew also started a small company providing maintenance contracts to local councils, providing good grounding on the fundamentals of business. Within a year the national crime prevention website he started was bought by a Government Agency and Matthew and his team won the contract to maintain the website and call centre. The company continued to grow gaining contracts from a national chain of garages and a national zoo.  It was during this time that Matthew formed an Internet Service Provider company, providing web hosting.

With his businesses continuing to run in the background, Matthew started work at Nortel Networks PLC, proving a high level technical consultancy on voice and data applications to the major telecoms PTT’s in the EMEA region, often travelling abroad to work onsite at their data centres. After 6 years Matthew left Nortel to focus all his efforts on the ISP business which grew successfully into PoundHost Internet, which is now a dominant player in the UK. As well as opening an office in Eastern Europe Matthew also started a European network provider, which continues to provide ISP’s with connectivity solutions. The natural progression for Matthew at this time was into his next venture, BlueSquare Data Services Ltd, allowing Matthew to utilise all the experience and knowledge gained over the last 12 years.

Paul has a wealth of operational experience gained from the mobile telecoms and retail industries. Before joining BlueSquare Paul spent 9 years as Head Of Operations for WIN Plc looking after their mobile telecoms platform, providing real time mobile telecoms support for Vodafone, O2 and the likes, as well as media voting support for BBC Radio and TV, News International and others.

Paul was part of the core management team that oversaw WIN’s transition from a private pager company to a Mobile Media PLC.

Helen graduated from Keele University in French, German and Business in 2002 and completed MA Interpreting and Translating from the University of Bath. Following this she worked as Standards Manager for the Cabinet Office, driving forward changes in policy and raising standards across the field of public sector information. She worked closely with the European Commission to implement the Public Sector Information Regulations, and led the Information Fair Trader Scheme. In 2006 she joined PoundHost Internet Services and put her auditing skills and management skills into practice. She now forms a key part of the BlueSquare Data Management Team, responsible for all staff and customer issues across the business.

Mark has worked in the building and construction industry for 25 years, starting as an apprentice working on building sites. Mark formed his own company shortly after which has grown into a business that now supports hundred’s of organisations including local authority contracts.

For the last 6 years Mark has also focused his attention to commercial and residential properties, buying, selling, renovating, renting and retaining properties in Southern England.
